Medicine Lizard

Medicine Lizard

Small reptiles that dwell in the forest. Called medicine lizards because players can make potions and cures from their tails. When the tail is cut off, it grows back after a little while.

Poison Lizard

Poison Lizard

Small, poisonous lizards. Those who are poisoned by this little creature will move sluggishly, feel nausea but will not sustain any damage. They resemble medicine lizards, so many unsuspecting players make the mistake of trying to take tails from these poisonous reptiles only to get bitten for their trouble.

Giant Beetle

Giant Beetle

An enormous beetle that grows to a length of 5 yards. It nests in forests and inhabits the same place for several years at a time. Its body is covered in a rock-hard shell; and it has powerful eyesight. The giant beetle hunts in the dark by detecting the heat its prey gives off.

Lair of the Basilisk

Kobold

Kobold

Dog-faced humanoids. They often live in packs within caves. They fashion crude tools and clothing for themselves, and are known to raid villages. Dim-witted and cowardly, these beats are cruel by nature.

Cave Bear

Cave Bear

Large, gray bears that dwell in caves. These bears are relatively passive, dieting exclusively on moss and mushrooms, but if you get too close they will attack. Multiple cave bears can coexist in very wide caves.

Fire Beetle

Fire Beetle

Nocturnal Insects about the size of puppies. When excited, the lines encircling their eyes grow red. Miners use the light emitted by these beetles as lamps in the darkest caves. Several beetles share a territory. Anyone who disturbs these territories will have to endure punishing blows as the beetles fly at high speeds toward the Intruder.

Basilisk

Basilisk

A giant, poisonous reptile. The breath of the basilisk contains a toxin that causes the cells of any organism to harden to a statue-like state. The basilisk is said to be the result of an ancient lizard curse and has been creeping around the land for some 1000 years.

The Golden Jungle

Leopard

Giant felines with lustrous coats often marked with velvety dark spots. The Golden Jungle is also home to very rare dark leopards, which are completely black. These cats live in forests and are skilled tree-climbers who like to drag their prey into the trees to feed.

Alligator

Alligator

A ferocious Crocodilian. Carnivorous, they often attack humans and domestic animals. Due to its enormous mouth, the alligator's bite is equal to that of a dragon! Gather alligator leather and you can make clothing.

Golden Gryphon

Golden Gryphon

The Gryphon has the body of a lion and beautiful, golden eagle-like wings. Its golden feathers are known to last for over 1000 years. The Gryphon is aggressive, and will eat all kinds of meat, but horsemeat is its favorite.

Paradise of Birds

Kiwi

Kiwi

Wingless birds. They cannot see very well in the dark. Kiwi's hunt for food using their very sensitive whiskers. Normally passive creatures, they can be ferocious when upset. The males are also extremely territorial.

Dodo

Dodo

A member of the pigeon family, it neither flies nor moves very quickly. Its feathers are sought after and its meat is delicious, and because they are so easy to capture they are on the brink of extinction. They can only be found now on a precious few Islands.

Cockatrice

Cockatrice

A mammal that resembles a bird. It has a tail like that of a lizard and the head of a rooster. Legend claims that Cockatrice hatch from rooster eggs, but Bird Paradise that seems unlikely. Cockatrice feathers come in many colors. It will attack anyone who comes too close, and are extremely aggressive. The eyes of the cockatrice emit a mysterious ray that turns flesh to stone.

Swallowtail Butterfly

Swallowtail Butterfly

A very common Insect. Using its long, straw like tongue, it sucks up nectar and dewdrops from flowers. In the Bird Paradise, the larvae have become poisonous as a defense against the birds that prey upon them.

Pitohui

Pitohui

Colorful birds that have migrated from exotic southern lands. It is a very unusual bird because of its poison--very powerful neurotoxin is embedded in its skin and feathers to protect it from predators. With its razor sharp beak, The Pitohui roots out and snatches snakes and lizards for food. For reasons unknown, the Pitohui stores its food in trees.

Giant Elephant Turtle

Giant Elephant Turtle

This is only creature of its kind known to exist. No one is sure how a normal elephant turtle grew to this enormous proportion. Although elephant turtles are known to be long-lived, based on the pace of growth for the average elephant turtle, this giant elephant must be over 1000 years old, which is unheard of. It possesses a very gentle nature and will not attack even when it has been harmed. It does not go into water much. Another mystery surrounding this creature are the unexplained flowers growing on its back.

Plesiosaurus

Plesiosaurus

A long-necked dinosaur. Its gigantic body is like that of an elephant. Its long neck is adorned with four fins. It swims incredibly fast and devours fish and squid. When its body temperature gets too low, it will crawl onto a beach and warm itself for a while in the sun's heat. It is a passive beast and isn't very clever but if surprised, it will lash out in aggression.

Big-Horned Sheep

Giant sheep with large, curling horns. They posses great leaping strength and can climb very precipitous mountains. They prefer to travel in large herds, with the horned males protecting the more vulnerable females and children. The males are aggressive, so predators take a risk when getting close. Their wool is used to make low quality clothing.

Scorpion

Scorpion

Poisonous arachnid. The Scorpion's poisonous stinger is filled with venom that paralyzes the muscles of a human for a very long time. Any animal unfortunate enough to fall prey to a scorpion sting will be eaten alive by swarms of scorpions. They won't feed on anything that is too large (like humans) but will attack anyway, out of habit.

Giant Ant

Giant Ant

Compared to normal ants, these ants are huge. At the end of their abdomen is a small stinger filled with a weak acid. This acid throws off the olfactory sense. Its jaws are so powerful they can crush helmets made of steel. All giant ants are soldiers dedicated to the protection of their queen, and they will all fight to the death without fear.

Allosaurus

Allosaurus

A large, carnivorous dinosaur. It can run at considerable speeds when upright on its two hind legs for short distances. It has jaws as powerful as those of an alligator, and can crush the bones of the largest animals.
