Puppet Guardian User Guide

The Screen

The Screen

Player

This is you.

Life

This shows how much power you have. It is what keeps you going in the game. When it reaches zero, you loose consciousness and are automatically transported back to the lobby of the tower you are currently exploring. You will have to wait 24 hours before playing the game again.

Magic

These are your magical powers, like the ability to paralyze a monster. These powers come when you accumulate jewelry, which is pretty rare, so get it when you see it in a tower! Once you have enough jewelry, synthesize it with other items to get the magic.

Remaining Dice for Your Pet

This indicates how many more times you can roll the dice on behalf of your pet. It displays as soon as you take your pet out from the ranch. When traveling with a pet, you will use your pet's dice first until it is gone; then you can use your own dice to move together. Having pet increases your range as a player!

Remaining Dice

This indicates how many more times you can roll your dice. When it reaches zero, you will no longer be able to travel by rolling. That means you can no longer be transported anywhere, except to the lobby. The good news is that you accumulate new dice every four hours. Each day you automatically receive six new dice.

Ignore Button

After clicking this button, everyone on your screen will disappear except for your friends and your "party" or team. This does not mean that the everyone else is gone, it's just that you can't see them. It does mean that they will still be affected by the rules of the game just as if they were still in view. So if you intend to use a healing potion to heal only your friend or your team, those players who are out of sight because you have hit the ignore button will also get healed. To bring these players back into view, click on this button once more.

Sound Button

Turn your sound ON/OFF.

Item Collection Point

Sparkles on the screen indicate a place to collect new material for use when making--we call it synthesizing--clothes, potions, weapons and other things that help you play. Simply approach the sparkling area, click it, and the item is yours!

Gesture Button

Have your character gesture to others by clicking these buttons. Have your Guardian character show feelings with a laugh, a wave, a tear, etc.

Chat Log (history) Button

You can read the recent chat history of the place where your Guardian is currently playing the game.

Friends List

This allows you to check to see if someone from your friends list is online and playing Puppet Guardian. It also tells you who is on your friends list.

Chat Box

Here you will enter your Chat dialogue. Just put in what you want to say, and then press ENTER.

Pet

If your pet happens to stray away, you can always call him by clicking here. If its a bigger pet like a horse, when he is near you, you can mount or dismount him by clicking again.

Dice Button

You roll the dice by clicking once. To stop the roll off the dice, click a second time. The second click will transport you somewhere which corresponds to the roll of your dye. You cannot use the dice in the lobby.

Team Button--Form a Team or Party

By clicking this button, you can recruit other players to travel together in a group with you. After members gather inside the party circle, they are marked with an orange bar under their name, so it’s easy to recognize the members of your party. These party members can share dice when traveling together. This is important because it means that even if you are out of dice you can still play the game. Forming teams is a great idea for everyone and is one of the best things about playing Puppet Guardian.

Lobby

By clicking this, you will be immediately transported back to the lobby of the tower you are currently exploring. This feature only works in the towers.

Map

Click this and a map will open which allows you to see where you are in your quest and which stops on the way will best help you reach your goal.

Friends

By clicking this, a Friends Window will open. This allows you to invite a member to be on your Friends List. They will have the option to say “yes” or “no.” This window also allows you to manage your friends list.

Items

After clicking this, an Item Window will open. You can confirm two things (1) which items you are currently wearing or using and (2) the materials you have collected up to this point. Please see the Item Window section below for more details.
